Cat was born in Phoenix, Arizona and spent her childhood watching black-n-white films on Turner Classic Movies and going to the pool, a lot. High school was her first opportunity to try acting, and the rest is history. Auditioning for the AZ State Thespian Conference landed her a partial scholarship for talent and grades to attend the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). Catharine is a first-generation college graduate.
While at UNC Catharine was the president of the Honorary Theatre Society, Alpha Psi Omega. Always the busy bee, other off-stage activities included the President's Leadership Program and the University Honors Program. For her senior honors thesis she wrote about the efficacy of Michael Moore's film documentaries and social change. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Acting and minor in Dance, magna cum laude.
In 2010 Catharine booked an audition in Boulder, CO that would take her to the Big Apple. She made her New York theatre debut in Victory Garden's Off-Broadway production of Conviction. After the run of Conviction, Catharine shifted her career focus to film and television in New Mexico.
Catharine is member of New Mexico Women In Film and on the SAG-AFTRA National Native Americans Committee. She is also a 200-hour certified Hatha yoga instructor. Catharine loves to be active along side her pug Tobey and her husband, the writer Adam James Jones.
